NitroVolt is excited to announce the successful close of our €3.5M seed round, co-led by BackingMinds and the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark, with support from investors Breakthrough Energy Fellowship, EQT Foundation, Satgana, and Division Q. This investment will accelerate NitroVolt’s efforts to scale up sustainable and decentralized ammonia production by allowing us to expand the fantastic NitroTeam and build our first on-site Demo Unit, which will be placed on a local Danish farm to produce green ammonia as a fertilizer!

We also just published our electrolyzer database: What started as a simple Notepad list has grown into a comprehensive database of over 300 electrolyzers with detailed datasheets. This user-friendly web tool allows visitors to easily compare stack and system-level energy consumption, filterable by country of origin or manufacturer - perfect for researchers, engineers, and hydrogen enthusiasts. Instead of keeping it in-house, we decided to share this resource, because we want to help streamline efforts, reduce redundancy, and empower others to focus on innovation and solutions. Huge thanks to our NitroIntern Tomás for expanding the database and building the Streamlit tool, and to our TEA and LCA NitroAnalyst Gloria for laying the foundation. Last week, Suzanne had the incredible opportunity to attend Slush, Europe’s largest startup event, where she spoke on stage about the future of decentralized and green ammonia production talking about what we’re doing at NitroVolt. The event was a whirlwind of inspiration, from engaging talks on climate-tech, AI, health-tech, and space-tech to meaningful connections with passionate entrepreneurs and visionary investors. A heartfelt thank you to the Slush volunteer team for the invitation, the fantastic Founder Dinner, and for creating such a dynamic platform for innovation.
