The NitroLabs are officially in business! In September we ran the first experiments and successfully produced green ammonia in our new facilities. We have expanded the capacity by building our new setup, Hydra, capable of running 4 experiments simultaneously, while leaving room for further expansion in the future, when more testing capacity is needed. Another big milestone was the design and manufacturing of the world’s first electrochemical ammonia synthesis stack! The coming months will be spent on producing ammonia in the stack and iterating and improving the design before scaling it up.
Suzanne has been attending numerous exciting events in September, going first to TechBBQ here in Copenhagen to leverage the great networking opportunities, then The Drop in Malmö, Sweden attending super interesting ripples on agriculture and decentralization and connecting with many climate-focused investors and startups, and lastly presenting at the StartLife 12th DemoDay in Netherlands graduating from the program that has helped us refine our go-to-market strategy. Both Suzanne and Mattia will be attending the Breakthrough Energy Fellowship graduation and the Tough Tech summit in Boston in October – hope to see some of you there!
Lastly, we’re super excited to share that the on-boarding of all the new members for the NitroTeam has gone extremely well, and we’re looking forward to welcoming the newest member in October, bringing the team up to 11. We’re also extremely honored to have been picked for Norrsken’s top 100 most promising impact startups, showcasing NitroVolt on Times Squares during the New York Climate Week.
Stay tuned for updates in October when we will start making ammonia with the first ever electrochemical stack!
Best regards,
The NitroTeam
